We want Chiropractic to be an Experience

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

When a member enters the office they will be greeted by first name. If the member has already done the paperwork they will be given a quick tour of the office. If paperwork is not done it will be done first and should take about five minutes to do. We want the member to feel like they are at home. One of the things we strive for is we want chiropractic to be an experience. Our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding. The office is easy access from Skytrain (Holdom Skytrain Station) and buses. If one chooses to drive there is plenty of parking out front.

Consultation & Examination

After paperwork is completed the member will then have a consultation with Dr. Ron. The purpose of the consultation is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem. The exams consists of muscle strength tests, orthopedic tests, specific chiropractic tests, gait analysis, posture analysis, computerized spinal screenings (Myovision) and X Rays if required. Throughout the exam Dr. Ron will be explaining every test he is doing and the significance of each test. Remember an educated member is a healthier member.

Myovision

Technology for Nervous System Evaluation

Holdom Chiropractic uses the latest technology available for evaluation of muscular and nervous system imbalance. Two computerized evaluations are performed as part of every patients examination to evaluate the nervous system functioning.

Surface Electromyography (sEMG)

The sEMG measures the quality, quantity, and symmetry of muscle tension and spasm by evaluating the electrical activity of muscles. Because nerves control your muscles, Subluxations disturbs overall nerve function, causing an abnormal amount of electrical current to flow to the musculature.

Thermography -Thermal Scan

This advanced tool measures body temperature symmetry by evaluating skin temperatures. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and the blood vessels act as your thermostat. The blood vessels are controlled by the Autonomic Nerve System that regulates organ and gland function.

Putting it all together

The information taken from your sEMG & the Thermography are used in concert with your health history and clinical findings. This information is useful in our assessment, and as an outcome assessment of the beneficial changes that result from chiropractic care. Patients receive a color printout of each examination, which increases their understanding of the overall balance of the nerve system.

Dr Ron Asks some important questions of interest to Burnaby residents - Chiropractor Burnaby Dr Ron Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Burnaby chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
